 Not only do we have great products, but we have a great team behind them. We now have an exciting opportunity for a WHS Coordinator to join our Manufacturing site at Berkeley Vale, 2261.

 This position has become vacant due to internal progression of the previous occupant.

 

The Role

 Reporting to the Berkeley Vale WHS Manager, the purpose of this duel role is to drive WHS initiatives for site and be a proactive Injury Management Coordinator.

 Other Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate a variety of Workplace Health and Safety initiatives for site, in alignment to the WHS strategy.
  • Conduct Risk assessments and safety investigations.
  • Follow up on incidents and hazards and ensure corrective actions are followed through.
  • Coach Team Leaders on a broad range of best practice WHS processes and legislation requirements.
  • Provide genuine care and guidance to our employees throughout Worker Compensation claims management processes.
  • Coach Team Leader and Managers through best practice Injury Management processes.
  • Coordinate the WHS committee meetings and activities.
  • Coordinate WHS reporting requirements.

 

The Person

 The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, skills and competencies:

  • A minimum of Cert IV in Workplace Health & Safety
  • Recover at Work (Return to Work) Certifications
  • Experienced in end-to-end workers compensation claims management
  • Excellent knowledge of WHS and Workers Compensation Legislation
  • Proactive and takes initiative
  • Strong communication skills with a pragmatic and consultative approach
