We have an exciting opportunity for a Wellbeing Specialist to join the team at Vitality Works.  We are looking for proactive health professional with an outgoing personality who is motivated, passionate, hardworking and eager to learn. Vitality Works is a Sanitarium company, established to provide industry leading programs and services in workplace health. We offer clients the full-spectrum of workplace health solutions from medical services such as health monitoring to flu vaccination, to injury prevention programs and team based health challenges. We are proud of our achievements, our history and what we have to offer for an exciting future. This position is 35 hours per week, term contract, to the end of June, 2019, based on our client’s site at Sydney Olympic Park. You will be the single point of contact for all health and wellbeing services for our client, responsible for researching, developing and implementing policies, systems and processes to deliver our client’s Corporate Health Plan, supporting their members’ health and fitness.  Responsibilities include:
  • Providing members with training, assessment tools, role requirements and information to support and promote a healthy and fit membership
  • Implementing services and resources to prevent and respond to members’ health and fitness issues at work
  • Monitoring health and fitness activities for continuous improvement, transparency and accountability
  • Developing quarterly health promotion and injury prevention material to be distributed across New South Wales
  • Liaising with external suppliers
  • Reporting and presenting to our client’s management team
  • Managing relationships with multiple departments, Regional and District Managers across our client’s organisation
  • Delivering twice weekly ‘Recharge’ stretches
  • Ergonomic and job task assessments
  • Assisting in rolling out the Mental Health Plan
  • Chairing quarterly Working Group meetings
  • Mentor, motivate and inspire individuals to make sustainable behavioural changes

The successful applicants will possess the following attributes:

  • 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Tertiary qualifications in Exercise Physiology / Exercise Science / Physiotherapy/ Occupational Therapy
  • Outstanding communication skills at all levels of business
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • The confidence and ability to present to all levels within the business
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
  • Willingness to travel locally and remotely
  • Hold a current driver’s licence
