Key Accountabilities for this role include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring the accuracy of financials in line with current Accounting standards
  • Empowerment and development of staff
  • Month & year end processes including balance sheet reconciliations
  • Management of bank account balances and transfers
  • Accounting for leases
  • Cash-flow reporting, budgeting and forecasting
  • FBT & BAS returns
  • Coordinating the interim and annual audit process with external auditors
  • Collaborating with the sales team in regards to pricing, rebates, CDS and trade support
  • Tracking and reporting of mark-to-market hedging arrangements
  • Ad-hoc projects completed within agreed timeframes

Requirements - The successful applicant will:

  • Hold tertiary qualifications in Business/Commerce with a major in Accounting, and have attained CPA or equivalent status
  • Have 5+ years' accounting experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of current Accounting Standards and FBT legislation
  • Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrate appropriate staff management experience
  • Possess the ability to maintain a customer service and continuous improvement focus
  • Have initiative and be well organised
  • Be a proactive communicator with a strong aptitude to problem solving in collaboration with others
  • Be capable of prioritising multiple demands and work under pressure to ensure timeframes are met
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills
  • Experience using SAP (desirable)
