The Personalised Wellbeing unit is an exciting new business in the Sanitarium Group of Companies established to combine emerging digital technology with evidence based health research to positively influence the health of our community at a personal/individual level.  We want to change lives.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Science and Research Manager to join our team in Berkeley Vale on the Central Coast, to lead the establishment and development of the evidence base for this business unit.

The scope for our research endeavours span from bespoke research project to ongoing longitudinal projects that involve

  • Behaviour Change
  • Dietary interventions that could include Nutrigenomics, Epigenetics, Microbiome, Metabolome, Supplementation and dietary regimes
  • Combinations of Products & Services that are served both tangibly or digitally

In a manner which continually and constantly iteratively improves our platforms and applications, in a commercially pragmatic manner.

This role will be responsible for;

  • Creating the research methods, protocols and process for optimising our expert Health Psychology inputs.
  • Managing the existing research projects
  • Establishing a methodology to review the rapidly evolving scientific literature in domains relevant to Personalised Wellbeing
  • Building strong relationships with global experts to ensure we remain abreast of leading discoveries
  • Mining existing internal/external data sources to discover potentially lucrative opportunities that can be of benefit to large cohorts of our community
  • Liaising with various functions within the broader Sanitarium Group

The successful applicant will be:

  • Tertiary qualified in Nutrition, Food Technology and/or Psychology
  • Experienced in successfully authoring/managing research projects that have published results in peer reviewed journals
  • Conversant in best practice research protocols and methodologies
