Not only do we have great products, but we have a great team behind them. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Management & WHS Systems Coordinator to join our Manufacturing site at Carmel, 6076.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the purpose of the role is to provide quality assurance & WHS (Work Health & Safety) support to the manufacturing site and ensure compliance with food safety legislation standards. Key responsibilities include:
The maintenance of the sites Quality system and Food Safety system. Provide expertise, guidance and support in order to ensure compliance with the company’s food safety, legal and quality standards – along with compliance to any customer standards to which the company subscribes.
Develop and maintain the Site Food Defence Plan.
Ensure Technical Audit Schedule and other internal audits are actioned
To investigate customer complaints and implement initiatives to drive down complaint frequencies.
In conjunction with branch management, ensures that Perth Manufacturing Unit has in place, in line with legislative requirements and the Corporate “No Injuries” WHS Management Program, workable and uniform WHS procedures.
Support branch management in tasks as required in Administration.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, experience, and competencies:
Degree in food science, chemistry, or related discipline.
Certificate IV in WHS or above is preferred
Minimum two years industry experience.
Demonstrated experience delivering site-wide HACCP plans and outcomes.
Demonstrated experience conducting food quality audits to the required standards.
Development and implementation of an Annual WHS Action Plan, including an WHS training schedule, to address issues as identified.
Ability to actively advise on changes and developments in WHS and ensure WHS policies and procedures are updated in consultation with management, the WHS Committee and employees.
