Process Operator - Marmite

Sanitarium Auckland Manufacturing is looking for a Process Operator to work within our Marmite production department on a Permanent Full-Time basis.

This role is on our afternoon shift. The hours will be Sunday 2:45pm - 12:15am & Mon - Thurs 4:00pm - 12:15am.

The Process Operator is responsible for monitoring and controlling the Marmite Manufacturing process to achieve production scheduling requirements within standards, quality specifications and costs.

The Marmite manufacturing process is a technical process to learn so experience in food manufacturing is essential.

Experience working with SCADA screens, understanding of microbiology or food technology processes would be extremely advantageous. This is a great role for someone looking to learn a new process and challenge themselves.  

To be successful in your application you will have:

  • Previous machine operating experience
  • Minimum of two years experience in a food manufacturing or food processing environment.
  • Understanding of SCADA screens - Beneficial
  • Understanding of microbiology or food technology processes - Beneficial
  • Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to WHS, food safety and quality in the workplace.
  • Have good attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate initiative and be able to work unsupervised when required.
  • Be reliable and able to work in a team environment.
  • Have well developed interpersonal skills.
  • Be flexible as required.  
  • NCEA Level 1, 2 or equivalent education would be beneficial
  • Experience in Good Manufacturing Process (GMP), Food Safety, Hazard Awareness and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Work Health and Safety (WHS) is highly desirable.

If you are successful, it may include online, paper-based, and/or functional testing as well as interviews and reference checking.
