If have a background in FMCG (Fast moving consumer goods) manufacturing or want to learn about FMCG manufacturing, then this role may be right for you. We are looking for qualified industrial electricians who have the tenacity and eagerness to learn and grow a career with us at Sanitarium.

Reporting to the Maintenance & Reliability Manager – you will be instrumental in ensuring continuous operation, reliability, and best practice maintenance services.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate proven knowledge, skills and experience with enthusiasm and attention to detail. They will be an effective communicator in a team environment and will be willing to rise to the challenge in this pivotal role to make a positive impact in their work environment.

The successful applicant will hold a current Electrical Trade license along with 5+ years’ experience in the following:

  • Industrial Control system design testing and commissioning.
  • SCADA, HMI and PLC programming experience – Rockwell, Factory Talk, and Citect systems
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of
    • Variable Frequency Drives – How to design, specify, configure, and integrate.
    • Pressure, Temperature, Flow & other Instrumentation – How to integrate these into new and existing control systems.
  • Proficiency with Maintenance Systems i.e. MEX
  • AutoCAD experience.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical equipment and skills to maintain and repair (sole tradesperson on some shifts)
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Ability to problem solve for root cause resolution
  • Have experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing / conflicting priorities
  • Strong customer focus and team orientation
  • Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Knowledge and skills in providing both food and people safety.
  • Understand and practice Food Safety (HACCP Principles)
  • Capability of physical activity including crawling into confined spaces or climbing at heights

A Boiler Operating qualification would be an advantage or be willing to obtain it.

As part of the plant Site support an annual 2-week shutdown period, which will include Over Time and weekend work will be required.

Our shutdown periods are typically during August where our business requires maintenance support during this time.
