Sanitarium has an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Electrician to join the maintenance team at the Moorooka Factory.

If you have that something extra, proven experience in automation engineering and or electrical engineering, and you want to develop your career further in Automation, it would be advantageous to this position.

Reporting to the Maintenance & Reliability Manager – you will be instrumental in ensuring continuous operation, reliability and best practice maintenance services. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate proven knowledge, skills and experience with enthusiasm and attention to detail. They will be an effective communicator in a team environment and will be willing to rise to the challenge in this pivotal role to make a positive impact in their work environment.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Relevant Qualification in: Electrical Trade Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Experience in industrial electrics, including motor control including Variable Frequency Drives, PLC, automation and instrumentation (Experience in Rockwell Automation PLC’s HMI and Factory Talk ME/SE would be advantageous )
  • Working knowledge of mechanical equipment and skills to maintain and repair (sole trades-person on some shifts)
  • Conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Fault-finding and installation skills
  • Ability to problem solve for root cause resolution
  • Strong customer focus and team orientation
  • Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Boiler Operating qualifications or willing to attain
  • Knowledge and skills in providing both food and people safety.
  • Capability of physical activity including crawling into confined spaces or climbing at heights

As part of the plant Site support an annual 2 week shutdown period, which will include O/T and weekend work will be required. Our shutdown periods are typically during August where our business requires maintenance support during this time.
