Full -Time Food Technologist

Not only do we have great products, but we have a great team behind them. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Food Technologist to join our Manufacturing site at Berkeley Vale, 2261.

 

The Role

 

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the purpose of the role is to provide quality assurance support to the manufacturing site and ensure compliance with food safety legislation standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver on site-wide quality system objectives including HACCP and BRC certification.
  • Ensure compliance to the application of Internal Supply Chain Standards.
  • Develop and maintain the Site Food Defence Plan.
  • Ensure Technical Audit Schedule and other internal audits are actioned.
  • Provide support for traceability, business continuity plans and mock recall.
  • Apply scientific principles to deviations from existing processes, procedures or products.
  • Analysis of various utilities on site, monitoring test results to ensure quality is maintained.
  • Investigate and analyse food quality customer complaints.

 

The Person

 

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, experience, and competencies:

 

  • University Degree in food science, chemistry, or related discipline.
  • Minimum five years industry experience.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering site-wide HACCP plans and outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting food quality audits to the required standards.
  • High level of self-initiative and works in a systematic, methodical way.
  • Consultative approach with an ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyse complex scientific information and apply that information in subsequent reports.
